🇺🇸 M.A.R.S. stands for my brand new project inside Softimage XSI: Modular and Adaptive Rigging Systems. I must say I´m so excited about ICE architecture! The beauty I see within ICE kinematics are capability, power and flexibility. Complex math stuff like hierarchy/offsets/matrices/vectors/rotations are made visualy with on-the-fly viewport results, wich means freedom to take directions much more quickly than hard coding or rewriting a bunch of lines over and over again. My goal is to compile a collection of custom compounds for al sorts of rig types. Think about sets of presets ready for plug´n play inside a production environment, for example:

Biped
| Foot roll -> automatic roll, heel, bank side-to-side, toe, ball, lift, moveable pivot
| Spines -> fancy Fk, spline IK, stretch/squash, volume controls, n twistable segments
| Limbs -> IkFk blend and match, bendy, lock, soft IK, squash/stretch, volume controls, n twistable segments

Wouldn´t it be cool ? I would say If studios or TDs know what´s going on under-the-hood it´s easy to dive into a compound to rebuild nodes´ connection, recreate something or even create a new function on top of the system itself. Yeah !!!
